Bookings Terms and Conditions

All accepted bookings are subject to the terms and conditions explained below. By making a booking with us, you are accepting that the following terms and conditions apply.

Quotations

Prices provided are subject to availability. Prices quoted are all-inclusive of GST.

Liability

Melbourne Star Chauffeured Cars are not liable in the event of a mechanical breakdown while on charter and will only be responsible for making up lost time at a mutually agreed date. The client assumes full financial liability for any damage to the limousine caused during the duration of the rental, be it by the client or any member of the clients’ party. Melbourne Star Chauffeured Cars are not liable for any damages or loss elicited by the deed, negligence or error of any supplier or another third party. Under circumstances where liability is unable to be excluded, liability is limited to the value of the clients’ purchase. If a client has made a booking with Melbourne Star Chauffeured Cars and is unable to locate the Chauffeur and chooses not to contact us, the client will be liable for the full transfer cost.

Amendments

If you wish to make any changes to your booking after the booking has been officially confirmed, these changes can only be accepted subject to availability. Melbourne Star Chauffeured Cars reserves the right to charge any additional fees which may apply as a result of the changes.

Extended Times/Additional Routing Instructions

Overtime will apply after the first 15 minutes of the pre-scheduled time organized and displayed on the official booking confirmation. The client is responsible in the event of any charges incurred in relation to the extra time required for a booking that has exceeded the confirmed schedule. Any extra stops required that were not confirmed and settled at the time of placing the booking will incur extra charges.

Cancellations

Melbourne Star Chauffeured Cars do not issue refunds or exchanges on any bookings except as otherwise specified by the seller. If a refund is issued, Melbourne Star Chauffeured Cars may retain any booking fees charged. These charges can be up to 100% of the cost of the booking, regardless of whether or not travel has commenced. Special event bookings such as but not limited to, “Grand Prix, Spring Carnival, New Year’s Eve, Christmas Day, Avalon Air Show, Australian Open and AFL Grand Final, Weddings, Tours, On hold bookings” will incur in 100% cancellation charges of the total cost of the booking whether the booking is cancelled entirely or partially.

Weddings/Special Events

When making a booking for a wedding or special event, Melbourne Star Chauffeured Cars requires a 50% non-refundable deposit on the day the booking is placed and the remainder is required one week prior to the day of the booking. Additional Booking Terms & Conditions

The driver has the right to terminate run without refund in the event of the blatant indiscretion of the part of the client(s). It is illegal to stand through the sunroof and is not permitted in any of our vehicles. Smoking is strictly not permitted in any of our vehicles. In the event that the client or any member of the clients’ party causes damage to the vehicle, the client will be financially responsible to repair that damage. Sanitation fee for all vehicles is $350.00. Melbourne Star Chauffeured Cars are not responsible for any delays or termination of the journey caused by hazardous road conditions (e.g. accidents, etc.). Melbourne Star Chauffeured Cars are not responsible for any articles left in the vehicles. Vehicles cannot be loaded beyond seating capacity. Luggage, prams and other accessories are restricted to boot capacity only – those which do not fit in the boot of a sedan will not be placed within the vehicle under any circumstance. In this instance, the client is liable to organize alternative means/transport to transfer their luggage. Consumption of water within all of our vehicles is permitted. Melbourne Star Chauffeured Cars require all other beverages and food to be approved prior to the booking, under which circumstances the client assumes full financial responsibility for any damage to the vehicle.
